4.3 Operation and Maintenance Plan

Service Description

After a successful Commercial Operation Date (COD) of a microgrid project, the system transitions to our O&M Team for ongoing operations and maintenance. But before milestone, our Operation and Management Plan is developed —establishing strategy, personnel, and funding for seamless O&M. Considerations within our plan include: Transition Support: Whether through training or short-term contractor assistance, the plan ensures a smooth shift into the O&M phase. Holistic O&M Strategy: Microgrid upkeep spans various disciplines—facilities, electrical, mechanical. The plan weaves them into a comprehensive strategy, overseen by a dedicated supervisor. Cybersecurity Vigilance: Regular reviews and updates keep our microgrid compliant and secure. Simulated Training: Our microgrid operators learn the ropes in a safe environment—reducing risks on the actual system. Strategic Decisions Matter: Who handles O&M? Manual or automatic operation? Staffing levels? These choices that are defined from the conceptual phase will be updated and review the impact costs, response time, and microgrid readiness during contingencies. The microgrid O&M Team will wears many hats — actively managing demand response, understanding utility rate structures, and scheduling maintenance. They will allso contribute to upgrades and continous improvement of the day to day opersation. It’s about maximizing uptime and economic benefits.
